Where There's a NEED, There's a LION

Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller. And communities get better. That's because we help where help is needed – in our own communities and around the world – with unmatched integrity and energy.

The World's Largest Service Club Organization

Our 46,000 clubs and 1.4+ million members make us the world's largest service club organization. We're also one of the most effective. Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities. Everywhere we work, we make friends. With children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don’t have enough to eat and with people we may never meet.

HOW WE SERVE
Community Support

The Jasper Noon Lions Club, with community support has purchased horses and provides annual financial support for the Texas Lions Camp. The Lions also help fund eye surgeries for  local individuals, and provide eye exams and eyeglasses for those who cannot afford these services. Additionally, Lions Club awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors.

Vision Services

At it's first convention, Helen Keller challenged Lions International members to work toward ending blindness. Since that time Lions chapters worldwide, including Jasper Lions, support the Lions Eye Bank, eyeglass recycling program, vision screening for children, training of service dogs, and Lions World Services for the Blind.

Texas Lions Camp

Texas Lions Camp provides, without charge, a camp for physically disabled, hearing/ vision impaired, and diabetic children from Texas, of all races, religions, and national origin. Campers enjoy an atmosphere filled with the "Can Do" philosophy, and they're encouraged to achieve maximum personal growth, gaining self-esteem.
